2011 Softail Deluxe
The 2011 Harley Davidson Softail Deluxe is the latest hog
to take over the market. This softail motorcycle is a vintage looking dream with all of the bells and whistles
of the modern softail. The fenders are a throwback to classic looking bikes with all the chrome and accents. The
engine is a true beast, as all Harley Davidson's are, and the gas mileage can get you anywhere in today's
economy for a small amount of cash. Best of all, the price is affordable so there's nothing stopping someone
from grabbing the seat and hanging on tight for a long tour.
The body of the Softail Deluxe is a dream. The stretch
fenders are a call back to the old school and tipped in chrome. The struts are hammered chrome also and make a nice
accent to the bike. This softail motorcycle is maxed out in chrome, as a matter of fact, with the wheels, the
over under exhaust, the headlamps and tail lights all being the same silvery sheen. The fenders are long and
wide enough for custom paint jobs, although Harley offers many awesome tones and combinations for the less
artistic rider, including psychedelic purple, and "root beer." The chassis is classic softail style with a
standard 26.5 degree lean angle, and the rake sits at 32.1.
This softail motorcycle's engine is no less than what you
would expect from the Softail Deluxe. The air cooled twin cam engine puts out ninety six cubic inches of pure
power, and drops almost 94 pounds of torque. Electronic fuel injection does this Harley good. The fuel capacity
of this bad boy is enormous. 35 miles per gallon that this bike gets in town cruising is nothing compared to the
54 miles per gallon that it gets on a long tour over the highway. The features on the bike itself, the idiot
lights and the headlamp controls are all modern as well. The speedometer and odometer are mounted to the tank
and there is a diagnostics readout and a fuel warning light as well as a fuel countdown meter.
The cost of the Softail Deluxe is what makes it great.
Starting out at $16,799, this softail motorcycle is as affordable as a small car, and gets better gas mileage
too! With the color options, the price jumps to 17,494 for the two tone and continues to climb depending on what
kind of customizations you want. Security options and other package features such as focus on making the
California emissions standards can raise the price of the bike as much as two thousand dollars, but it still
more affordable than a luxury car. If you just want your basic bike without all the fancy colors and whatnot,
the starting price will be just under seventeen grand.
The 2011 Softail Deluxe is the perfect bike whether you
are an avid fan or just a couple of times a year rider. Thinking of riding up to Sturgis or down to Daytona?
This softail will get you lots of looks and make you plenty of friends to ride with next year. The gas mileage
will take you where ever you want to go for cheap and the engine is enough to satisfy the animal in anyone. At
the price it's offered for, how could anyone turn this softail motorcycle down?
